How to: Turn Your Ideas Into Content
You've got all these ideas, but you’re not sure how to actually create the content and get it out there.
Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered.
When I’m doing a 1:1 coaching call, the two most common struggles my clients want to work through are:
๐๐พ 'I don't know what to post’.
๐๐พ 'I don't know how to create the content’
So let’s break them down together…
“I don’t know what to post”
We’ve all been there, even the greats! Sometimes I can have the best intentions to sit down and batch create content but my mind ends up being totally blank. If you struggle coming up with ideas, here’s what I suggest:
โโIdentify your content pillars
If you don’t know what they are, then work out your customer’s pain points. What do you need to talk about or say to help them with their pain points? What solutions will help them feel better, understood or improve their situation?
Now, what are the common themes with your answers? What are the topics or solutions you’re suggesting? These form your content pillars.
Once you have your content pillars identified (aim for either 4 or 5 pillars) it is super easy to create content based on each of those. One post should relate to one content pillar.
Review your insights
Have a look at what's working, what your audience likes and responds to and DO MORE OF THAT. Essentially, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Stick with what is working for your audience. They loved it the first time, so chances are they’ll want to hear more about it.
“I don't know how to create the content”
If you’re the opposite to the above - you have no problem coming up with ideas but you struggle actually creating these posts, then here’s what you can do...
Lock in a day for content creation
This can be with a photographer, or it can be you and your tripod. Whatever suits your budget. Lock in some time with yourself to CAPTURE THE CONTENT. Think reels, images to go with your captions or on carousels, or story content (yes, you can bulk batch your stories ahead of time, too!). Look at your insights and see which type of content is receiving the best results. Static posts? Carousels? Reels? Stories? Discover what your audience is loving the best and do more of that.
Once you know what to post and how to create the content, you’ll never struggle with creating content again.
