Guide: Create a Full Month of Content!

The best way to post consistently is to plan your content ahead of time!

I want to share with you how you can plan out your content for an entire month - so if life throws you lemons, you’ll still be cool as a cucumber 😎 about your social content!

Here’s what you need to do: Get Prepared…

Before you get started, check out our 2023 Planner with all the key dates & resources you need!

✅ Phase one: Know your dates

First thing you need to do is look at the calendar and write down every single holiday, promotion, and special date for the whole month.

These will be the first building blocks for your content plan.

Have a promotion coming up? You will need a few posts and stories leading up to the promotion and posts during the promotion too.
Is there a special holiday in that month that you want to do something for? Make sure you plan that into your content too!

✅ Phase two: Use a planner

All those dates you just found? Put them into a planner. We have a Master Planner specifically for this but you can use whatever works for you - an excel spreadsheet, your calendar, etc.

The planner will also allow you to plan out the rest of the content too, which brings me to phase three…

✅ Phase three: Content categories & pillars

For the rest of your content think about the content categories:
👉🏼 Promotional content
👉🏼 Connection content
👉🏼 Value content

Brainstorm as many ideas as you can for each of these and then start planning them out as a reel, graphic or image.

Then you can plan which dates you want to post them.

You will want to stick to only one promotional post per week. And spread the connection and value post out evenly across the month.

✅ Phase four: Implementation

Now you have everything planned out you can go ahead and get started with creating your content...

Start with categories:
First, create all of the graphics.
Then all of the reels.
Source your images.
And then get started on the captions.
